windows

Looking out the window in Boston with the oncoming storm....daydreaming about Seville and the amazing windows we passed this past summer. Especially love all of the yellows and balconies.

a fall hike with friends

Calvin and Steph came up with the fantastic idea for a day trip to see some fall colors. We ended up in the Berkshires in Western, MA at Monument Mountain, which was absolutely great! Brody even got to come along and spent some time off-leash. I have never seen fall colors like these...and the sun kept coming and going as we sat at the peak taking in the views. Stopped in Great Barrington for some lunch and pumpkin gelato. So grateful for friends, fall, a little nap on the way home, and a chance to explore.

a lecture in Connecticut...

A fantastic visit with my parents last weekend. It was my first trip to CT and my mom's first return since she left at age 1 1/2. We went to the lecture started by Papa Henry and even met some of his former physicist colleagues and friends. I understood about two minutes of the physics lecture, but the best part was just being there to see the university that was so important for my grandparents. Loved the time with mom and dad in Boston....tried some new restaurants, visited with Alysa and Greg, went to the Isabella Stuart Gardner, and even saw a movie! Missing them already.
