pillows made by mom
My mom, Ruth, makes the best pillows! Perfect polka-dotted and striped patterns with some vintage vespas thrown in. The embroidery is on my great-grandmother's tea towel with hand-made stamps. These were some of the very best holiday / birthday gifts ever.

a monkey named epeez
Epeez was the first toy I remember loving. My uncle brought this statue named "Ape Man" back from Zimbabwe where he was working. I couldn't say "Ape Man," but Epeez soon became my favorite. He went camping, to the park and I think he even slept in my bed.

Nick and I watched these films recently, and I loved them both. Although not the biggest Elmo fan, I really enjoyed watching Kevin Clash's vision and the back-story of how this incredibly famous Muppet came to be. During our trip to LA in December, we saw the California Design 1930-65 "Living in a Modern Way" exhibit at LACMA, which featured Ray and Charles Eames' home and many of their furniture pieces. This movie only furthered my love of this couple and admiration of their incredible lives.
