In so little time, little H can do so much! Such a fantastic morning spent at the park. We had the wet playground all to ourselves for a great visit, some monkey bars, and watching H climb/swing/slide!

South City Sump Coffee!
Robin and Nora introduced us to the amazing Sump Cofee in South City last weekend on a rainy Saturday morning. We loved the place, the motorcycle shop in the back, the various coffee machines, the people, the beards, and of course, the coffee! We'll certainly be back. Photos taken by Nick and me, fancy edits by Nick.

Yes & Yes Designs!
I have known Laura Bruland, of Yes & Yes Designs, since the third grade! This Kickstarter project is awesome and I hope we can make this happen! Love this combo: great friend, vintage/recycled books, and whimsical jewelery! Above is a Yes & Yes necklace that I gave Chloe for the holidays. Support the project here: Kickstarter for Yes & Yes Designs!

the countdown....
It seems surreal that by this time next month, all of this work will be completed. Not sure how it will all get done, but pretty sure that coffee will help.
the Ocean Park series
Richard Diebenkorn's Ocean Park series makes me think of California and home...love the colors. Wish I could make it to the show in Orange County this spring - it sounds amazing!

a birthday for Karen
A happy birthday to Karen! Thank you for bringing such joy - you are amazing. One of the very best things about moving to St. Louis has been the chance to get to to know and spend time with family. xoxoxoxoxo

Thursday friend nights out
This year, Nora instigated Thursday girls/friend night....and I love it. This evening we went to a Sasha's, a local wine bar and enjoyed an outdoor fire (minus the smoke), and time to visit. Loving the chance to explore new neighborhood places and of course, see the people I love in this city.

a little book
My mom made this sweet little book for my 18th birthday. This was given on the birthday right before I started Grinnell, and the message is so encouraging and special. Love this little one and it lives in the little glass jar with other objects....safe until I need a little hello and pep talk from mom. xoxoxxoxxoxo
